It's
not always Hot & Dry in the summer -- but it the spring and
summer rides we head for the North Shore.
There are two meeting places for this ride:
1. 8:30am at The Bean Around the World coffee shop on Cornwall
2. 9:15am at The Bean Around the World in West Vancouver (at the
back patio)
Ride flow:
- Ride nicely till out of "shopping district"
- Single up shortly after that
- Ride safely at all times, be aware of traffic
- Ride will split up and there is hammering to be done out to
Horseshoe Bay overpass. There is a sprint at this point. However,
there are no sprint points for this sprint, so ride as you feel.
IT DOESN"T MATTER IF PEOPLE ARE SITTING ON, SPRINTING AHEAD, WHATEVER!
THERE IS TO BE NO GETTING UPSET IF YOU GET DROPPED
OR DO ALL THE WORK OR WHATEVER! This is meant to be a hard, challenging
ride!
- After Horseshoe Bay, riders will noodle out to Whytecliffe Park
and meet all the stragglers on the way back. We will take the
Upper Levels to Cypress. Once on Cypress, we will regroup at
the "works yard" and then head up the hill!
- Head back to Lions Gate Bridge, through Stanley Park, over Burrard,
along Cornwall to Alma and up and around UBC to the junction of
41st Avenue/Camosun, turn left and go up Camosun, noodle around
St. Georges and head to Bean Around the World on 10th Avenue for
coffee.
