Mike D'Arcy
Anaesthetist at Burnaby General Hospital. Mike started out like so many of our members participating in marathons and triathlons, he can't remember how many as he says all that cold water does something to ones memory. As the elder statesman of the club Mike continues to show a real determination on the bike and is still very competitive especially on the hills. Mike is married to Lourdes and has four boys Peter, Christopher, John and Thomas.
Jonathan Wornell
Now working as an Event Organizer, Jonathan has had the great opportunity to work on some exciting events in Vancouver: Mountain Bike World Cup at Grouse Mountain, The Bell City Chase, and the Tour de Gastown to name a just a few. Jonathan has been actively involved in the cycling scene for over 15 years as a racer (mtb and road), team manager, certified coach, and club director. More recently, Jonathan is now the proud father of his (and his wife, Darnelle's) son, Cayden!...a possible future "Tour" winner!
John Litherland
Owner/Manager of www.eventsonline.ca an internet on line registration company providing online registration services to events. John has a keen interest in triathlons, photography and flying, he holds a Cessna 172 pilots license. John is married to Madeleine has no children and one dog and as one of the steadiest wheels in the club will become a key part of the clubs lead out train....the question is who will he be leading out.
Darnelle Moore (aka "D")
New mom and certified personal trainer, Darnelle has raced her road bike all over North America and Europe as a former member of Canada's National Team. Highlights include the Women's Tour de France and the Fleche Wallone. Back home in BC Darnelle has coached up and coming cyclists and has represented athletes on Cycling BC's High Performance Committee. She now works as a personal trainer at Body and Soul Health and Fitness and is a mom to her new young son Cayden.
Brad Bisset
Vice President at Marsh Canada one of the worlds largest Insurance Brokers, Brad started road cycling a few years ago and has quickly became an avid rider. Nicknamed the "lung"for his solid aerobic capacity, Brad is looking forward to riding and racing as part of a team for the coming season and has already shown his potential on early club rides. Brad is married to Trish and has two children, Logan and Megan.
Philip Meyer
General Manager of the Wedgewood Hotel in Vancouver one of Canada's leading Hotels and the title sponsor of the Wedgewood Cycling Team. Philip started racing at the early age of 14 in England and has enjoyed the sport over many years, from childhood visits to the Tour de France to recent trips to the San Francisco Grand Prix.
Philip is married to Aryan and has two sons Darius and Cyrus and a daughter Alina.

Currently attending UBC, Jonathan rides mainly with his brother David who is an active member of our team, he hopes to build on his fitness and try some competitions in the future. Jonathan started as a mountain biker but says the need for speed pulled him to road riding.

David Ricci
Landscape gardener and property manager. David is a recent UBC grad who is exploring new career paths at present. He is an avid skier but fell in love with cycling during a riding vacation in Italy, he rides mainly with his brother Jonathan who is also a member of the club and recognises the only way to improve is to ride with a strong group. David entered the last Tuesday nighter of the 2004 season in the Cat 5 race and won, he hopes to ride Cat 4 in 2005.
Doug Mulder
Letter carrier for 15 years with Canada Post. Graduating from UBC with a BA in geography, Doug has a very strong background in sports from swimming , triathlons to now cycling. As a member of the UBC Varsity swim team he achieved several medal placing before moving on to coach the Hollyburn Swim Club in West Vancouver for a few years. Doug began cycling after competing in a few triathlons and even managed a 10th place at the Canadian Triathlon Championships in 1990 at UBC. Now he focuses strictly on cycling, a self confessed "Clydesdale" (over two hundred pounds) he competed at the Gastown Grand Prix in 1993 and now enjoys the camaraderie of the weekend club rides, Tuesday night races and his free afternoons. Doug is married to Julie and they have a daughter Akiko.
Jeff Spence
Gladstone Secondary School Computer and Math Teacher, organizer of tire/socks/gloves orders.
Jeff takes pride in beating up on alleged Cat 2's when on training rides and is currently riding cat 4 as well as having a keen interest in cyclocross.
Placed 36 in Worlds Masters road race M35-39. Jeff's wife, Lara joins the club when Mitchell (3) and Katie(15mos) give her the morning off.

Returning to the cycling scene leaner than past triathlon days, Lara credits her new job of chasing 2 kids around as metabolic magic. Focus points for 2005/6 include taking faster corners and racing smarter.
Brent Kirkpatrick
Brent is a Category two roadie who is known for his steady and strong work
ethic both on and off the bike. His involvement in the sport of cycling ranges from racing, to committee work, to directing at the club level. Brent works as an engineer with QuestAir Technologies Inc.. Besides cycling, Brent enjoys hiking, weight training and travel. He and his girlfriend Rachel have also been known to consume the odd bottle of wine on their annual trips to the Okanagan wineries where they like to stock up for the winter off-season!
Rachel Smith
Rachel is a newcomer to the cycling scene. Following several years of aggressive feed zone work for her boyfriend Brent, she has become intrigued enough to give the actual pack riding a go for herself. A relative newcomer to the weekend Peloton, Rachel enjoys participating in the Saturday rides, especially the conclusion at the Bean. Rachel, originates from the UK and now works for UBC in its purchasing department.
Al Kozlowski
Al is a Category 3-Masters rider, and Provincial B rated Commissaire. Professionally he is a physical therapist with 13 years' experience. Currently he is working on a graduate degree full-time at UBC, in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences.
Dave Cressman
Dave is currently working as a sales representative for several outdoor recreation products. Dave has been involved in cycling for more than 20 years and has competed in Mountain, Road, Duathlons and his favorite Cyclocross. Aside from cycling Dave is an active member of the running community and competes regularly in Ultra distance runs and Snowshoe racing events. Dave is a happy Dad to his two daughters, Nola and Tilda, and husband to Meghan who also has competed in Road and Cyclocross racing.
Lesley Trivett
Lesley works in communications at the software giant Business Objects and enjoys road riding, swimming, running and stocking the Trek Team in her free time. A proud back of the pack rider who is working hard to move up and live up to her "Tres Vite" name.
Shera Molday
If you can't find her gardening, or watering Basse, she's on her bike. This girl knows how to put the heat on. Once she puts on her dancing shoes, she's gone! Talent runs in her family. During the weekdays, Shera spends her time counting beans. Yup, she's a CA. Make sure you do your taxes correctly, or there will be trouble.
Jae Lee
Jae recently moved to Vancouver after finishing his Master of Science at Queens University and he is now a product engineer at IFD Corporation.
Jae has been cycling for a couple of years with Frank's Red Hot Kingston Mountain Bike Club and Queens Recreational Mountain Bike Club, we look forward to cheering him on at the Tuesday nighters.

Heather is a Physiotherapist/Clinic Manager with CBI Health. She has recently moved to BC from Ontario where she raced mountain biking in the Canada Cup / World Cup series. Her previous clubs are Gears Racing, Brampton Cycling Club and the University of Toronto Varsity MTB Team.

Kelly is Cat 3 cyclist and a multi marathon and ironman finisher. Currently part time student residing in Toronto for career purposes Kelly expects to return to competitive cycling and Vancouver late in 2005.

Tara is a former mountain biker, currently redefining life's loves due to "aches & pains" but hoping to be in the saddle & on the trails at some point through the upcoming months & into the summer.

When not trying to keep up with Judi's rigorous exercise schedule, he is busy running his own insurance brokerage and attempting to keep track of his daughter's busy schedules. Riding is divided between cat 3 road and master expert mountain biking in both the BC cup and Marathon series.
Judi Garrison [Social Member]
An avid cyclist that spreads her time equally between cat 4 road and mountain biking as a master expert. Despite being run off her feet as a mother of two busy teenage girls, she managed to finish in 2nd place overall in the BC Cup mountain bike series and third in category at the most recent Cheakamus Challenge.

Christy is an Elite cross-country mountain bike racer and not-so-Elite
sometimes road racer. Highlights for 2005 include 10th overall in the
Canada Cup MTB series and 24th at the Canadian National MTB
Championships. She is especially proud of earning the Wedgewood Team
its first podium with a 3rd place cat 3/4 finish in her crit racing
debut at the Yaletown Grand Prix.
When not riding or eating, Christy
promotes green building design as an Engineer-in-Training and
Marketing Manager for a downtown mechanical engineering firm.

Michelle is a landscape architecture graduate and City of Vancouver employee who enjoyed running and mountain biking before becoming a mother of two boys. Now working part time she has discovered road riding and triathlons.
Being married to an avid cyclist for years, she figured if she can"t beat em she might as well join em. Michelle is looking forward to learning the ropes on the road and becoming an active member of the Wedgewood Cycling Team

Susan works for a human resource consulting firm - Towers Perrin, as a consultant in the Executive Compensation and Rewards practice.
Outside of work, she enjoys running, swimming and biking and has completed a marathon, a few adventure races and a number of triathlons. Susan was also a spin class instructor for over a year back in Toronto.
Sarah Stewart [Active Member]
Recently moved from Victoria to begin the Masters of Physical Therapy program at UBC. Sarah's background is kinesiology and exercise physiology and in the last couple years has focused on triathlons and completing Ironman Canada in 2004 and 2005.
Sarah still thinks the best part of triathlon is riding a bike, so she looks forward to doing some more road racing this coming season. And yes...she'll be the one riding the cross bike for the group rides.

After going to school for six year in Winnipeg, Scott has moved back to the warmer climes of the West Coast. He works as an engineer at MDA in Richmond.
Scott previously raced off road on the island and in the prairies, and is looking forward to road racing next season.
Vince Lee [Active Member]
Vince is a graphic designer who works in the pre-press department of Contact Printing in North Vancouver. With a solid background in running and duathlon, Vince started focussing on road cycling in his late 30s while recovering from a running injury.
He is a Cat. 4 / Masters B rider Vince competed in the time trial and road race at the 2005 World Masters Games where he was proud to finish both events. Besides
cycling, Vince dabbles in cyclocross and skate skiing and hopes to make a comeback to running in 2006.

Mark is a manager at Burrard Leasing in Vancouver and proud new owner
of a start-up business venture called Velocity Steel Corp. After not
riding a road bike for twenty two years Mark has returned to the sport
and is planning on some racing for next year, however he is still
having trouble finding the time to shave his legs.
