Membership

Being a member of Wedgewood Cycling Team means more than just having cool kit and a group of cyclists to ride with. It means being responsible to the Vancouver philanthropic and cycling community.

 

The Wedgewood Cycling Team is recognized in both the cycling and broader community as leaders in fundraising for cancer research, care and prevention and we continue to be committed to this goal. The Team and its sponsors ask that members be actively engaged in whatever is determined to be the Team’s primary fundraising initiative for the season. It is also expected that members will participate as part of the Wedgewood Cycling Team in supporting other rides which benefit North Shore Rescue, the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, and other events that support the efforts of cancer research in B.C.

The Wedgewood Cycling Team is extremely appreciative of our sponsors. Without their ongoing support we wouldn’t be able to get on the bike together nor would we be able to give back to the community. Our sponsors’ name on our jersey shows their commitment to our Club, it also shows their faith in our ability to represent their business and their brand to the Vancouver public.

Team membership dues include a nominal fee for administrative costs such as website expenses, Cycling BC Club Dues, club insurance, Annual General Meeting dinner subsidies, summer BBQ, summer ride support and other sundry costs involved in keeping the Team running.
