Axel and Jodi Merckx popped into town last Friday to catch up, see the big ticket in town that night, Sheryl Crow John Mayer live in Vancouver and chat about the year that was.

Over lunch at the Wedgewood Hotel, Axel discussed the exileration and celebrations in Paris that quickly turned to dissapointments and then disbelief, life after Phonak, the future with T-Mobile and of course an Evening Of Champions in Vancouver.

The 2nd Annual Director's Ride up Mt. Baker will be taking place on August 6th, 2006. Details can be read here.

We will be leaving the parking area at  9.45am.  We anticipate the day to require about 8 hours  (5-6 hours of riding)  (Vancouver to Vancouver). Don't forget! YOU WILL NEED A VALID PASSPORT!
