The Greatest Cyclist of All Time
Eddy Merckx, nicknamed “The Cannibal” for his insatiable appetite for victories, he won every important race, most multiple times. Eddy graciously accepted our invitation to appear at our Evening of Champions gala in October 2005 which raised over $100,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation.

Belgian Multitasker
Axel Merckx, former National Cycling Champion of Belgium and Olympic Medallist, has established a unique cycle touring company which focuses on the Spring Classics and some beautiful riding around the wine region of the Okanagan Valley, his adopted home in Canada. Axel's newest role for 2009 will be to head up Lance Armstrong's new Under 23 team as Director Sportif.

Trek Livestrong U23 Team
The Trek-LIVESTRONG Development Team was created as a project to help develop the next generation of great young cyclists. The Trek-LIVESTRONG Team features top up and coming talent, including national champion and US Olympian Taylor Phinney, local rider Cody Campbell, and leadership from ten time Tour de France rider Axel Merckx.
