Expectations of Members

Being a member of Wedgewood Cycling Club is more than just a group of cyclists to ride with, it’s being a key part of the Vancouver cycling community.

Wedgewood and our sponsors give a lot to our cyclists, for that we expect our members to give something back to the Club. Volunteering at the races we organize is mandatory, as is helping with our annual BC Cancer Foundation fund raising effort. However, the Club presents extensive opportunity for its members to ‘become the Club’. Some of the areas that are currently managed by member volunteers include design and organizing the procurment of the Club kit, managing tire orders, and web site design and maintenance.

Wedgewood is more than just a jersey on a ride, we’re a club that knows our members. We’re a small Club on purpose, we’re a Club that knows every rider on the ride, we’re members that get together off the bike and we give back to the community.

Wedgewood Cycling Club is extremely appreciative of our sponsors. Without their ongoing support we wouldn't be able to get on the bike together nor would we be able to give back to the community. Our sponsors’ name on our jersey shows their commitment to our Club, it also shows their faith in our ability to represent their business to the Vancouver public.
