Summer Rides

When the warmer weather hits – usually in May – we begin rides to the North Shore. We ride from Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay and then on to tackle various points on Cypress Mountain, starting with the First Look Out and progressing through the season to the Summit. The team then rides back into Vancouver and around UBC.

Start Time and Meeting Places

There are two meeting places for the Wedgewood summer ride:

Kitsilano: departing 8:30am from Bean Around the World, 1945 Cornwall Avenue

West Vancouver: departing 9:15am from Bean Around the World, 1520 Marine Drive (back patio)

Ride Route and Details

Throughout the summer the rides get longer and hillier. This is all in preparation for summer racing, as well as the infamous Wedgewood Directors' Ride up Mount Baker In Washington State, typically held on the August long weekend.
