Congratulations to our very own club director Jonathan Wornell who was recently recognised as Cycling BC's "Organiser of the Year".
Jonathan won the award for his work on establishing the Westside Cycling Classic in its first year, the continued growth and excitement at the Tour de Gastown and his work to make BC Superweek the success it is.On October 16th, in the pouring rain five intrepid Wedgewood riders took to the woods in the Bayside Cross race in Wet Rock. The results? See for yourself. Mud, grit, dirty, and water.
Dave Cressman took 7th in the men's B race, but the real fun was in the Women's race.
Christy Love took 5th, with Shera Clement, Katherine Warrendorf and Lesley Trivett finishing in 8th, 9th and 10th respectively. They showed that it's not just guys who like to get muddy!
Watch for them on Shaw cable.

Tying the knot..the rumours were true
Congratulations Brent and Rachel!
Over the first weekend of October this lovely couple decided to make the whole thing legitimate and official at the Wedgewood hotel. They were last reported to be enjoying their honeymoon on Pender Island. Congratulations!
Congratulations Shera and Basse!!
On August 20th, Shera and Basse wed on the lovely island of Gabriola. A grand time was had by all. There was sunshine (a wee bit of rain), riding, swimming, eating, drinking, and yes, even mechanical bull riding. What wedding would be complete without this?
Best of luck to both of you on your journey together!
Next in line...
There are no wedding plans yet, but they're sporting some hardware. Lesley asked Jay, and then Jay asked Lesley, so the circle is complete.
For the time being they are satisfied being married in the eyes of the bank. Jay's friends are getting nervous though. They had to throw Jay a shower, just in case he snuck off on the sly with his bride to be to tie the knot.
Congratulations Lesley and Jay!
