A waterfront and mountain view, sand, gravel, dirt, grass, run-ups, barriers, lots of sweeping turns, and several nasty sharp ones… The Wedgwood New Brighton Cyclocross race is a definite classic on the cross circuit.
In 2008, Team Wedgewood hosted the inaugural race at New Brighton Park, an eleven hectare multi-use ocean-front park in East Vancouver. The 7th Annual TNA Westside Cycling Classic took place under the pleasant skies of Point Grey. The Wedgewood Cycling team once again organized a great event to serve as the BC Championships for Junior Men and Women as well as Elite Men and Women. Racing was under way early with the Junior, Master and Cat 3,4 men getting under way at 7:30am. Also for the first time the event hosted a PreFondo event for athletes preparing to ride on of the many Gran Fondo’s being held in British Columbia. <<READ MORE>>

Axel Merckx and Trevor Linden Lend Support to Cancer Research Fundraiser
As part of the “24 Hour Spin” in support of the BC Cancer Foundation Ride To Conquer Cancer, the Wedgewood Cycling Team and Team Granfondo Axel Merckx hosted a Fundraising Spin Class led by Olympic medalist and ten-time Tour de France rider Axel Merckx and, arguably the greatest Vancouver Canuck of all time, Trevor Linden.
Lucky participants had the opportunity to spin with their heroes in an intimate setting for an experience they will never forget. <<Read More>>
